Maanshan Iron and Steel Group recently signed a new contract with SMS Group (www.sms-group.com) for a new ultra-heavy steel rolling line. This modern steel rolling line has a highly flexible process configuration and can provide high quality super heavy steel, especially steel sheet piles, according to the different needs of customers, to fill the gap in the Chinese market.

The rolling mill has a design capacity of 800,000 tons per year. The rolling mill equipment includes two roughing mills, the core and the latest generation of three-stand CCS ® rolling mills (compact design, ultra-fast roll change), and the CCS ® rolling mill with full intelligent reduction control. Automatic and quick roll change. The double-supported straightener also uses hydraulic press and quick roll change to ensure excellent straightness of the profile steel.

The SMS group is also responsible for the hot sawing machine, cold sawing machine, the entire line of process technology and technical service support. The training of Maanshan Steel's operators will be carried out at the project site and in Mönchengladbach, the German location of SMS Group.
